TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.**What your background should look like**:- Short Description- Providing ECE (excellent customer experience) and customer service, total quality and a positive employee environment.- Driving Continuous Improvement in line with strategy (TEOA).- Establishing and operating production areas in a safe, environmentally sound and prudent manner and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.- Ensuring that the production areas are maintained in accordance with the Operational and Manufacturing procedures and best practices within the Business Unit.- What your background should look like:- Bachelors or Master’s degree with 5+ yrs of manufacturing leadership experience- Prior experience working as an Operational Leader with proven experience- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, effectively managing competing priorities with available resources.- Experienced in leading and creating a high performing team.- Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and CI (5S, Six Sigma, VST)- Strong oral and written communications- Project Management skills- IT Skills (SAP, MS, Office)- Recommends best work practices and improvements; coaching employees to be the best version of themselves**Competencies**:- Managing and Measuring Work- Motivating Others- Building Effective Teams- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation- SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
