Role Purpose The roleholder will be responsible to bring all business support, leading strategy and planning to their management of a local team, which consists of: Strategy formulation and execution for IWPB HBMX. Supporting Business strategic projects. Market and competitor analysis and business performance. FTEs and cost management. Strategy definition and execution of day to day employee communications and events for IWPB Mexico, working closely with local and global Head of Internal and External Communication to coordinating all efforts. Definition, prioritization and execution of training and talent development business related strategies, reporting functionally to the Head of IWPB Mexico, in order to launch, manage and improve all initiatives/projects. The roleholder will also have oversight and responsibility for the IWPB HBMX Cost Management and Incentives. Principal Accountabilities Tracking performance against any MTO objectives which relate to a specific business area. Aiming for global consistency wherever possible and working collaboratively on global initiatives. Participate in the execution of the global IWPB & GPB strategy. Together with Group Strategy and Global Business Strategy, coordinate Strategy formulation and execution for IWPB HBMX, supporting key Group, Regional and Local Executives in the diagnostic of business positioning and strategic priorities and requirements. Ensure that governance forums are structured appropriately and run efficiently, ensuring high quality oversight with minimal levels of bureaucracy. Where required, responsible for production of papers, agendas and minutes for Excos/Committees/etc and acting as secretary of Performance Management committees. Partnering with relevant former CAOs for business-specific activities e.g.GM/BC CAOs for client segmentation and employee loadings; Finance and HR for behavioural aspects linked to compensation and incentives, etc. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Knowledge & Experience Educated to degree level or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Work experience in setting that demands organisational agility and getting results through effective management of people and processes; possess capacity to analyse problems and find effective root solutions; ability to relate to people at all levels both internally and externally; must have the gravitas and relevant experience to represent the image of the bank. Relevant working experience/understanding in Operations, Credit, Risk, Commercial Management, Training, Comms and Finance. Ability to work across all markets and products covered in Booking Centre. Leadership experience and ability as Business Manages and BRCMs will report to this role.
