**Head of WPB Tech Delivery Mexico****Role Purpose. **This role will have oversight and accountability for the technology agenda and business relationships for Mexico scale market - with particular focus on Digital transformation, Wealth, architecture simplification, along with strategic initiatives such as LAC (Leveraging Americas Capabilities) and Mexico growth as a home market.**Main activities**:- Own and deliver end-to-end Technology services that may be specific to WPB Technology Mexico- Execute and bring transparency of Technology activities to the business- Accountable for managing suppliers to ensure that service performance targets are met- Accountable for championing, implementing and maintaining the published Technology target operating model within WPB Technology, establishing effective DevOps to deliver end-to-end Technology services- Accountable for the commercial success of the DevOps functions for WPB Technology- Responsible for ensuring that WPB Technology Strategy is in alignment with and enables the overall IT Strategy- Accountable for the successful scoping, funding and execution of the WPB portfolio of Technology change, in line with business strategy, while maintaining Technology technical and operational standards and methods- Enables and supports end-to-end execution and support for the relevant GB/GF, including liaising with the appropriate Technology Function leads- Accountable for successful business management of the WPB Tech Mexico- Accountable for embedding and maturing the DevOps and Agile ways of working across Technology- Responsible for ensuring control monitoring is conducted and reported to risk owners (including testing by BRCMs), and control procedures are validated (using a combination of exception reports, self-certification, and sample reviews)- Responsible for designing and tracking key indicators for the control to ensure timely identification and escalation of exceptions and issues in WPB Technology Mexico- Responsible for ensuring that appropriate technology business continuity plans are developed and maintained in WPB Technology Mexico**Requirements**:**Experience**The role holder executes and brings transparency to Technology activities to the WPB Business in Mexico.This role is instrumental in delivering business success across the growth, control and regulatory agendas.This includes, but is not limited to:- Execute the strategic direction for WPB Technology Americas and make sure is in line with Group WPB IT strategies and WPB business strategies- Embedding the technology strategy whilst capturing hearts and mindsThe role holder must embed these strategies and build out the specific differentiating technology capabilities required to support the business’ and DBS’s wider strategic goals.The role holder will need to overcome challenges such as:- Pro-actively reaching consensus between the most senior business stakeholders who may have a shared objective, but differing points-of-view- Taking hard decisions demanded by internal stakeholders and external regulators, balancing flexibility and agility against quality and sustainability- Maintaining the confidence of the Business, Finance and Compliance teams- Ensuring that effective risk mitigation and controls are in place**Requirements**:**Abilities**- Leadership- Strong English language skills (written and spoken) and fluency in local language (written and spoken)- Problem Solving- Innovation- Strategic Responsibility- CommunicationHSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and where their opinions count.
