A Fender is more than an instrument; it's a cultural symbol that resonates globally.Fender Musical Instruments (FMI) is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer, for our Ensenada, Mexico location. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the Fender requirements. Performing regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with Fender product and process specifications as well as actively participating in strategic development based on quality control plans. Will be the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements, and collaborate with other engineers in a team environment.**About the Job**:- Identifies technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions. Keeping track of the performance of the areas of responsibility and report the results to the management team and personnel involved.- To maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and database screens.- Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers, and lead multiple projects to completion.- Must manage process controls, establishing schedules for reviewing supplier and quality performance.- Measure readiness throughout the product development cycle.- Track and qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization's standards.- Maintain successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments.- Report supplier performance and quality to management.- Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.- Part of the team that select's and validate suppliers.- Coordinate new parts/supplier's validations with metrologyst, manufacturing, sourcing, materials and engineering.- Administration of SPSR'S (SCAR)**What You Need**:- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required for this position.- 3 to 5 years of experience in this position.- Must be problem solver who use their advanced analytical skills to find innovative solution to quality-related issues using tools such as CAPA, 8D's, 5 why's, quality control charts, etc.- Strong communication skills are a must to make progress reports and present their findings to all levels positions in Fender and Suppliers.- Strong Project management skills- 90% Bilingual English/Spanish (Japanese is a plus)- Strong excel and power point skills.- Excellent verbal and written communication to all levels**About Fender Musical Instruments**:
