Purpose of the Position:

The Finance Sr Manager Renewables & Flex Gen position is primarily responsible for partnering with the Renewables & Flex Gen GBUs. The incumbent will:
- Act as the finance SPOC for the business and an advisor to the GBU country MDs and their teams, coordinating with the different finance functions as applicable.
- Support the GBUs in achieving its financial objectives by providing the analysis, insight, and challenge into its decisions.
- With a strong focus on future performance, actively participate in the management dialog and facilitate interaction between different finance functions and the GBUs.
The Finance Sr Manager Renewables & Flex Gen will oversee the financial activities of the GBUs, responding directly to the ENGIE MEXICO CFO.

Responsibilities and Job Functions:

  • Act as the secondary arm of the CFO for all the activities related to FG&R GBU and RGBU involving the different finance functions. Suggest and/or identify business opportunities and challenge and influence GBUs decisions and strategy.
  • Partnering: lead the development of partnering relationships with the GBUs country MDs and their teams, and with stakeholders throughout ENGIE (Mexico, LATAM Region, and HQ). SPOC role for the MDs to help on the interaction and rapid resolution of different finance challenges and deliverables within different transversal finance functions.
  • Improve the visibility and understanding of business performance. Propose restructures, resizing, or cost efficiencies to improve the GBUs financial performance with no risk and/or business impact.
  • Decision support: Turn data into insights and use these to provide high-quality advice and support in influencing the GBUs’ decisions.
  • Supervise the adequate execution of the financial support functions, including, but not limited to: payables, invoicing, collection, and procurement ensuring compliance with the local processes and policies.

Occupational Profile:

BS in Public Accounting, business administration or finance required. Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred.

5-10 years’ experience in senior finance roles and/or relevant to the role requirements.
