He / She will be responsible for support our Center of Excellence with the following focus:
  • Responsible to ensure the compliance of local and international transactions for all JCI Business units in LATAM region.
  • Overall Compliance for programs and certifications for all LATAM sites.
  • External Trade Compliance Audit Management for all LATAM sites.
Among His / Her activities, the following must be considered:
  • Periodical strategical audits on programs and certifications to maintain overall compliance.
  • Presentation of notices on programs and certifications to maintain overall compliance.
  • Creation and update of regional policies and procedures,
  • Management and coordination of external audits received from the government.
  • Support to all sites on inquiries related to trade compliance and customs regulations and processes.
  • Creation of formats and checklists for special projects.
  • Lead projects along with other stakeholders such as Tax, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Legal, Corporate Secretary to plan and execute projects, manage external audits, and create policies and procedures.
  • Filing of monthly obligations on programs.
How will you do it:
  • Implementation of the internal process for auditing programs and certifications. • Filing of monthly obligations on programs and certifications.
  • Support on permits and regulations requests.
  • Management of all trade compliance external audits of the region in coordination with external counsels.
  • Monthly reporting of updates of external audits.
  • Creating policies and SOPs from a regional and site-by-site perspective.
  • Deployment of risk management and mitigation strategy for trade compliance purposes YOY measured under a continuous improvement methodology.
  • Providing trainings & delivering effective communication for all sites in the region and all the parties involved in customs compliance process.
  • Lead and implement a record keeping system in LATAM region.
Required qualifications – External:
  • Bachelor’s Degree on Law, International Business, Commerce (LED, LIN, LCI, LRI) or related field.
  • English > 90% domain.
  • Minimum experience of 6 years working with trade compliance activities.
  • Data analytics (business intelligence software) general knowledge, PBI, tableau, etc preferred.
  • Full domain of Mexican customs rules and legal framework.
  • Full domain of IMMEX, PROSEC, VAT Certification and OEA Certification obligations, reports and notices.
  • Full domain of VUCEM use.
  • Knowledge of Free Trade agreements legal frame for LATAM region.
  • Data stage analysis (customs reports
