Role Title: Data Operations Analyst (Remote in MX) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire/Contract-to-Full Time Duration: 3 months contract, then converts to Full Time Preferred Location: Remote in Mexico Role Description We are seeking a curious, growth-minded Junior DataOps Engineer to support and monitor our data platform. You'll gain hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Python while learning to take ownership of your work. Key Responsibilities Monitor & Respond: Track pipelines, investigate failures, and log issues. Support Users: Troubleshoot tickets and resolve data-related questions. Data Ingestion: Ensure timely and accurate daily data loads. Learn & Automate: Build Python scripts to automate checks and repetitive tasks. Documentation: Record known errors and solutions for the team. Skill Growth: Learn the stack to take on more complex engineering tasks over time. Requirements Experience: 0-2 years (internships, bootcamps, personal projects count). Mindset: Self-starter, persistent, eager to learn, and willing to ask questions. SQL: Basic understanding (joins, aggregations, filtering) to query and validate data. Python: Working knowledge; comfortable reading code and learning modern practices (3.10+). Troubleshooting: Can logically identify the source of errors. Ownership: Follows through to fully resolve issues. Nice to Have Exposure to Snowflake (labs or certifications). SnowPro Core certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months. Basic Git/version control and command-line familiarity.
