About the Role:
Trimble Viewpoint has an opening for a Software Quality Assurance Manager in Mexicali, Mexico. This is an exciting time to join as we grow and bring new features and technologies to our award-winning construction collaboration products.
This role will be responsible for leading a team of local QA Engineers and SDETs, that are improving the quality of software releases through automation processes. Working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development environment, the Manager will innovate and apply customized testing methodologies to show measurable quality improvements to the released Trimble Viewpoint Software. Active participation in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of projects on time and within scope and budget via the effective use of agile software QA practices. The QA Manager establishes and maintains effective communication with the Senior Director of Quality Assurance to communicate updates and the needs of the team. The manager is also responsible for the career development of software QA personnel, and ensuring effective leadership of individuals on the team.
What You Will Be Doing
Manages the QA projects to meet business objectives
Ensures software projects and infrastructure projects are completed on time and meet our high company quality standards
Facilitates communication upward, downwards and across project teams including project status, quality concerns, and technical issues.
Serves as focal point for other departments on QA status reporting, issue escalation, or other project information
Participates in appropriate milestone meetings and provides quality input for release approval
Ensures productivity of manual and automated testing efforts and that the tests are completed according to our test standards and are properly documented
Actively participates in our Shift Left efforts and infrastructure improvement projects
Acts as a contact person for the QA team, and the development, product and support departments, and customers

Ensures that:
QA is involved early in the product life cycle
QA test plans are generated and meet the project test requirements and scope
Appropriate QA and company methods and procedures are followed
Manages personnel activities of direct reports (i.e., hires, trains, mentors, identifies development opportunities, appraises, motivates, disciplines, and recommends termination as necessary).
Recommend and evaluate test automation and performance tools
Evangelize new automation techniques and best practices to QA team members

What Skills & Experience You Should Have
Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science
7+ years of relevant work experience and 1+ year(s) of proven leadership responsibility
Proven experience in successfully leading software QA projects.
QA experience within a SaaS environment, preferably utilizing the Microsoft Azure DevOps platform
Demonstrated knowledge of test automation and scripting skills
Strong understanding of agile QA processes and techniques
Construction Management Software domain experience is a plus.
Experience with testing a mobile application is a plus.
Understanding of and previous experience implementing a QA automation framework is a plus
Prior experience working in a global environment
Fluency in English
