Position Summary:
As a Quality Control Engineer, you will support in the development, implementation and execution of quality control programs and procedures. This position involves translating customer specifications and industry standards into product/process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You will also deal with day-to-day production quality issues on the manufacturing floor, at customer sites and production facilities.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with production to plan and execute incoming and production controls.
Manage relationships with customers or third party inspectors.
Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits.
Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product portfolio and drive effective corrective actions where appropriate to correct deficiencies and achieve agreed targets.
Manage customer site inspections.
Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify issues for management and stakeholders on the quality status of a process or product.Raise awareness within the leadership community on opportunities that have been discovered or developed and how to take advantage of them.
Collaborate with the department or other departments in the company to clarify / resolve technical issues related to QC activities.
Provide all documents as per QAP to the customer after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
Experience in the quality control department.
Understanding of product / process flow
Proficient in Microsoft Office package
Bachelor's degree or degree in relevant field and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
