Linum Consult’s client is an international subcontractor, part of one of the world’s largest and well-respected main contractors operating on civil engineering and construction projects around the globe. Due to continued expansion across the globe, they are looking to hire a Business Development Manager from a Civil Engineering or Hydraulics background to be based in their Mexico City office, with frequent travel across South America. RESPONSIBILITIES Promoting the company’s patented civil engineering technology to public entities, engineering companies, and regulatory entities within the hydropower industry Developing your sales territory, maintaining existing clients, and creating new ones Detecting new prospects at the early stages of the design process Maintaining/storing all necessary information related to the market, the industry, and the clients, in order to propose plans of action for growing the company’s market share Preparing technical and financial proposals in conjunction with the technical office Managing all selling and/or marketing activities necessary to close deals Maintaining a high standard of integrity and ethics when representing the company Liaising with other subsidiaries to further boost the company’s market share PROFILE Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, ideally with an additional degree/master’s in Business Administration At least 4 years’ post-graduate experience in business development and sales within the civil engineering, hydraulic structures, or hydropower sectors Extensive dam regulatory market knowledge within Mexico is essential with a proven track record of Sales or Business Development Previous experience working internationally, and keen to travel extensively within South and Central America Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish, ideally with some language skills in French Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-starter, autonomous, extremely driven and used to operating in a high-pressure environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
