Legal Assistant Remote: Buenos Aires y Mérida 📌 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST We are seeking a Legal Assistant – Intake, Scheduling & Client Communications to provide frontline administrative support for our litigation practice. This role is essential to keeping the team responsive, organized, and deadline-compliant across personal injury, PIP litigation, and complex commercial litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and route phone calls professionally Communicate with clients, courts, clerks, opposing counsel, vendors, and court reporters Schedule hearings, mediations, depositions, and attorney conferences Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court dockets for deadlines Receive, log, and organize incoming legal documents Upload documents to Clio and notify attorneys of time‑sensitive filings Maintain organized electronic case files and assist with routine correspondence Requirements Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written), with ability to translate live on calls Minimum 1 year of experience in U. S. law firms (Florida‑specific experience) Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and case/document management systems Experience with Clio, Google Workspace, and familiarity with e‑filing systems preferred Based in Latin America If you are highly organized, detail‑oriented, and ready to support attorneys in a dynamic litigation environment, we’d love to connect with you #J-18808-Ljbffr
