Experienced executive specializing in change management and business development strategies to drive profitability and sustainable growth. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for leading the timely and accurate preparation, analysis, and review of financial and accounting information across multiple functional areas. This role requires advanced analytical judgment, strong organizational discipline, and the ability to operate with limited supervision while supporting the accounting close, financial reporting, and internal control environment. The Senior Accountant is expected to serve as a key contributor to the accounting team, partnering cross-functionally with department leaders and supporting continuous improvement of financial processes. Key Responsibilities Partner with department heads and operational leaders to understand financial activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting. Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of monthly financial statements in accordance with the established close calendar. Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, U.S. GAAP principles, and internal control requirements. Analyze variances, trends, and key financial drivers; provide clear explanations to management. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices and technical matters. Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required). 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis). Experience working with ERP or accounting systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally. Prior experience supporting audits and interacting with external auditors preferred.
