OverviewRole Purpose: The Controls Engineer is an electrical controls resource for process improvement, cost reduction and capital expansion projects. Is responsible to manage electrical and controls scope of assigned projects. Lead/participate in project teams and support daily manufacturing operations by providing technical support to manufacturing and control equipment such as HMIs, PLCs, VFDs and electrical panels designing, installing, integrating and maintaining of all plant controls systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, install, integrate, maintain and improve control systems for automated manufacturing equipmentEnsure installation and commissioning meet design and operation standards integrationDesign and improve HMI, PLC, Hardwire and Panel LayoutsCreate and/or update schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or other CAD softwareTroubleshoot control systems as needed electrical and pneumaticProvide guidance and train less experienced team members when requiredDevelop and/or revise internal procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our processesMonitoring KPIs on complianceExperiences/Education - RequiredEducationB.S. in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringWork Experience3 to 5 years of experience in similar roleKnowledge and operation of a diversity manufacturing equipmentPrevious experience designing and building electrical control panelsBroad knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation, panels, and automation systems for manufacturing and other process control applicationsPrevious experience with automation and control products such as VFDs, PLC/HMIs, RTUs, and SCADA softwareKnowledge and experience with serial and Ethernet communications and protocols such as Modbus and Device NetAbility to program PLCs using ladder logic or other programming languagesRequired SkillsHMI and PLC design, configure and programming experienceKnowledge of MES, iFix SCADA and PI systemsProven experience in use and/or administration of IMS systemsExperience with PID controls and control loop tuning functionsDesign and integration of safety controls systems for manufacturing processesEquipment transfer, backup and change management of source codeExperiences/Education - DesiredKnowledge of cable manufacturing and connectorization process and equipmentVision systems programming and integration experienceUnderstanding server management and network infrastructureProject management skillsFully bilingual (English / Spanish)Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsHighly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyUse of manufacturing intelligence toolsInnovation proposals for new technology introduction and understandingSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesGlass, Ceramics and Concrete Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
