Overview The Controls Engineer is an electrical controls resource for process improvement, cost reduction and capital expansion projects. Is responsible to manage electrical and controls scope of assigned projects. Lead/participate in project teams and support daily manufacturing operations by providing technical support to manufacturing and control equipment such as HMIs, PLCs, VFDs and electrical panels designing, installing, integrating and maintaining of all plant controls systems Key Responsibilities Design, install, integrate, maintain and improve control systems for automated manufacturing equipment Ensure installation and commissioning meet design and operation standards integration Design and improve HMI, PLC, Hardwire and Panel Layouts Create and/or update schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or other CAD software Troubleshootcontrol systems as needed electrical and pneumatic Provide guidance and train less experienced teammembers when required Developand/or revise internal procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency ofour processes Monitoring KPIs on compliance Experiences/Education - Required Education. B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Work Experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in similar role Knowledge and operation of a diversity manufacturing equipment Previous experience designing and building electrical control panels. Broad knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation, panels, and automation systems for manufacturing and other process control applications Previous experience with automation and control products such as VFDs, PLC/HMIs, RTUs, and SCADA software Knowledge and experience with serial and Ethernet communications and protocols such as Modbus and Device Net Ability to program PLCs using ladder logic or other programming languages. Required skills. HMI and PLC design, configure and programming experience. Knowledge of MES, iFix SCADA an PI systems Proven experience in use and/or administration of IMS systems. Experience with PID controls and control loop tunning functions Design and integration of safety controls systems for manufacturing processes. Equipment transfer, backup and change management of source code. Knowledge of cable manufacturing and connectorization process and equipment. Vision systems programming and integration experience. Understanding server management and network infrastructure. Fully bilingual (English / Spanish) Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Use of manufacturing intelligence tools Innovation proposals for new technology introduction and understanding. #J-18808-Ljbffr
