OverviewThe Controls Engineer is an electrical controls resource for process improvement, cost reduction and capital expansion projects. Is responsible to manage electrical and controls scope of assigned projects. Lead/participate in project teams and support daily manufacturing operations by providing technical support to manufacturing and control equipment such as HMIs, PLCs, VFDs and electrical panels designing, installing, integrating and maintaining of all plant controls systemsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, install, integrate, maintain and improve control systems for automated manufacturing equipmentEnsure installation and commissioning meet design and operation standards integrationDesign and improve HMI, PLC, Hardwire and Panel LayoutsCreate and/or update schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or other CAD softwareTroubleshootcontrol systems as needed electrical and pneumaticProvide guidance and train less experienced teammembers when requiredDevelopand/or revise internal procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency ofour processesMonitoring KPIs on complianceExperiences/Education - RequiredEducation.B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringWork Experience.3 to 5 years of experience in similar roleKnowledge and operation of a diversity manufacturing equipmentPrevious experience designing and building electrical control panels.Broad knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation, panels, and automation systems for manufacturing and other process control applicationsPrevious experience with automation and control products such as VFDs, PLC/HMIs, RTUs, and SCADA softwareKnowledge and experience with serial and Ethernet communications and protocols such as Modbus and Device NetAbility to program PLCs using ladder logic or other programming languages.Required skills.HMI and PLC design, configure and programming experience.Knowledge of MES, iFix SCADA an PI systemsProven experience in use and/or administration of IMS systems.Experience with PID controls and control loop tunning functionsDesign and integration of safety controls systems for manufacturing processes.Equipment transfer, backup and change management of source code.Knowledge of cable manufacturing and connectorization process and equipment.Vision systems programming and integration experience.Understanding server management and network infrastructure.Fully bilingual (English / Spanish)Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Use of manufacturing intelligence toolsInnovation proposals for new technology introduction and understanding. #J-18808-Ljbffr
