Position Overview The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the Finance team and overseeing all financial and accounting functions, including policies, controls, systems, and processes. The role ensures compliance with tax and regulatory requirements and manages both management and statutory financial reporting, as well as financial and cash flow projections. The Director is also accountable for supervising finance activities such as cash management, cash forecasting, and overseeing treasury and banking systems. Additionally, the role involves assessing financial markets and identifying solutions to any emerging issues. The Director's primary goal is to steer the company toward profitability and long‑term success. Job Specific Responsibilities Manage global finance operations in Mexico and overseas. Lead the finance team and oversee day‑to‑day activities for Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Control, Tax, Reporting, and Consolidation. Handle statutory reporting including review and finalization of audited financial accounts, compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP(s), and timely submission for all entities. Produce regular management reporting: monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Serve as focal point between the parent company and Fontis Energy for all finance‑related matters. Advise, improve, and ensure compliance with related financial and accounting internal controls, systems, processes, directives, and procedures, and automate reports. Report and monitor collections, manage working capital requirements, cash management, payables, and capital expenditures. Direct formulation and development of business plans, budgets, financial projections, and cash‑flow projections to support short‑term initiatives and long‑term strategy. Oversee all audit, tax functions, and internal control operations. Develop corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners and investors. Supervise the budget to allocate resources in accordance with company policies and procedures. Advise the CEO on financial management matters. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, administration, or economics. Preferred: Master’s degree in accounting/finance with CPA. Minimum 15 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 8 years in a management role. Knowledge of financial ERPs such as Oracle, SAP, HFM, etc.; preferably experience in ERP implementations and migrations. Excellent organizational, financial reporting, leadership, and decision‑making skills. Strategically minded with the ability to communicate complex financial information. Strong verbal and written communication skills; active listener; fluent in English and Spanish. High level of adaptability, resilience, ethical and professional conduct. Travel as required by business needs.
