Strategic Sourcing Manager, Mexico Site

With this role, you will help select the rights suppliers and develop our relationships with them in order to keep in the forefront of innovation. You will be assuring the material availability and the capacity for growth while managing and mitigating risks. In addition, you will have the chance to work closely with your local and international colleagues from Denmark and Asia, and also from the US. In this role, you will have the responsibility to lead, administrate and coordinate the procurement services to the Mexican production site in accordance with established and approved specifications and procedures. Your main objectives Hiring, lead and continuously develop the local sourcing team while managing its budget Planning and leading transfer of suppliers and materials from Asia to Mexico/US Tracking and following up on plans for change of suppliers Developing, maintaining, and executing on local direct and indirect spend Category Strategies including: Analyzing spend patterns, supply market, cost drivers, should-cost, potential synergies across sites and develop category strategies accordingly Sourcing, RFQ, evaluation, selection, negotiation Risk Management Supporting global direct and indirect Category Strategies and cost savings projects Supporting local manufacturing strategy and KPIs and drive local cost savings projects to meet local year over year PPV targets Identifying opportunities for cost savings across the local direct and indirect spend categories Continuing to optimize cash flow by negotiating the best possible payment terms with suppliers Contract management for local direct & indirect suppliers Assuring comprehensive contract coverage Overseeing, monitoring, expediting and reporting supplier and contract performance Supplier Relationship Management - including generating increased value and quality out of strategic suppliers Stakeholder Management Complying with and executing on Responsible Supplier Program Managing local sourcing team resources for R&D projects to meet project timelines Process improvement (processes, tools, systems, IT etc) Acting as expert for sourcing and documentation practices You will be as a strategic partner for the business to ensure high professional standards within sourcing documenting impact to QHB ´s, new guidelines, manuals and completed training sessions Editing supplier information in Agile (name, quality class etc.) Approving suppliers/re-evaluate supplier approvals in Agile Uploading relevant supplier documentation to Agile Approving suppliers/re-evaluate supplier approvals Documents Maintaining the Approved Vendor List Handling NCRs/CAPAs Representing local sourcing during audits Being authorized to co-sign MCQD Your background You must have at least a Bachelor's degree preferably or related technical field with more than 5 years related experience in the medical devices manufacturing industry combined with procurement, as well as: Experience with transfer of suppliers from Asia to Mexico/US Experience with strategic sourcing Experience with MRO Experience with service contracts Experience from Audits And an entrepreneurial mindset Work Environment Ambu - a visionary and international workplace where your efforts matter Ambu is a company that expands rapidly and has ambitious growth targets.
