Job Summary The Sales Support Specialist (SSS) focuses on supporting specialized sales activities, particularly costing and quote preparation, follow‑up tasks, and general sales support. Effective communication with internal departments and external customers is critical to success. Responsibilities Support the sales team in achieving sales and customer satisfaction objectives. Speed‑to‑market: support actions and follow‑up on activities that produce promptness for prospects and customers. Quoting and estimating: evaluate, review, and prepare all estimates and bids; identify materials, inks, and other raw materials; contact customers for missing information. Determine pricing on existing items where product specifications have not changed. Day‑to‑day operations: process quotes and bids; coordinate with sales, customer service, manufacturing, engineering, and other departments to gather data for costing of art changes, plate charges, pre‑press, press time, finishing time, and related costs. Create, support, or maintain reports for customers (RFQs, quotes, win/loss, etc.) and keep files up‑to‑date. Assume responsibility for the workflow process for all new quotes and revisions. Contact vendors for technical questions. Work with sales, customers, customer service, manufacturing, and engineering to select appropriate press, material, inks, laminates, adhesives, and other requirements. Respond to inquiries from customers and management; provide status updates on projects. Follow new product introduction (NPI) procedures and tasks. Collaborate across functions to ensure adherence to quality standards and internal processes; review project deliverables. Support the sales department with activities such as customer surveys, service activities, job orders, special sales projects, and other required tasks. Achieve department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the supervisor. Customer‑centric: manage relationships systematically to offer value‑added, out‑of‑the‑box solutions. Ensure organization, procedures, policies, and values are respected; analyze data and take appropriate actions. Assist management in solving problems and identifying opportunities. Compile and analyze reports; make decisions based on data. Keep staff fully informed about quote status and key influencing factors. Initiate, develop, and maintain cooperative relationships with customers and vendors. Attend and provide scheduled training as needed. Identify improvement opportunities, best practices, and ensure ISO standards are followed. Comply with company safety policies. Qualifications Experience: Quoting, product cost structures, blueprint interpretation, pricing, customer specifications comprehension, and manufacturing processes and operations. Custom‑made manufacturing experience preferred. Production, printing, and graphics expertise a plus. Previous positions: demonstrable experience in manufacturing. Time: at least two years in a similar role. Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English. Software: Microsoft Office proficiency; sales and manufacturing software knowledge (e.g., Salesforce, CRM, SAP) required. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; an engineering degree is preferable.
