This role can based in Argentina as well.Why this role existsVelafi is scaling rapidly across LATAM with a remote-first, cross-cultural team .This role exists to ensure that people growth keeps pace with business growth — not just legally, but culturally and operationally.You will be part of the core HR team , not a local admin function.What you will do:Talent & Hiring (Global process, local execution)Actively participate in end-to-end hiring :role definition with managersinterviews & candidate assessmentlocal market insights on compensation & talent availabilityBring local hiring intelligence into global talent discussionsHelp improve hiring quality, not just fill seatsCulture & Employee ExperienceBe a culture carrier , not a policy messengerHelp translate company values into day-to-day behaviorsSupport engagement, feedback cycles, and retention initiativesSurface people issues early before they become problemsLearning, Development & PerformanceSupport performance review cycles and goal-settingHelp managers give feedback and grow as leadersContribute to training programs (onboarding, manager training, soft skills)Local Compliance & People OperationsOwn local employment compliance and labor law executionManage payroll, benefits, contracts, and employment changesAdvise leadership on local risk & best practicesCoordinate with external legal and payroll vendorsWhat we are looking for:~5+ years HR experience , ideally as HRBP or Generalist~ Fluent in both English and Spanish~ Moderate understanding of local labor law (MX or AR)~ Experience in fast-growing, cross-border or remote teams~ Business-oriented mindset; understands commercial & ops realities~ Comfortable working in English with global stakeholders~ Hands-on, proactive, and pragmaticWhat will make you successful hereYou don't wait for perfect processes — you help build themYou think in terms of business outcomes , not HR checklistsYou can balance local realities with global standardsYou want to grow into a regional or global HR roleNot a good fit if you...Prefer purely administrative or payroll-focused rolesAre uncomfortable with ambiguity or changeExpect a fully built HR system on day oneAvoid challenging managers when needed
