Pro-actively identify and communicate issues, propose, and implement solutions for continuous improvement in regard to processes, cost, service, and profitability.


  • Conflict resolution and problem solving.
  • Determine eligibility for additional noncommitted freight to be awarded to internal brokerage services and actively support and encourage the awards.
  • Develop and distribute customer reports and ensure all KPIs for customers are sent in a timely manner.
  • Seek out new carriers to provide service at competitive rate levels and send to Procurement.
  • Spot rate quotes.
  • Monthly calls and or visits with primary and possible carriers.
  • Analysis of business for carriers' volume increase, and better participation on our operation.
  • Active participation in projects.
  • Set up new vendors and suppliers.
  • Trainings, leveraging knowledge of best business practices and workflow.
  • Assist on onboarding process and Sales pitches.
  • Ensure financials and delegated reports are solved on the same week reported.
  • One on one reviews will be done every 6 months with the entire team.
  • Review twice a week negative revenue for confirmation, authorization, or modification.
  • Ensure tariff automatization for most carriers.
  • Monitor and ensure team accomplish their duties.
  • Review, analyze, and understand matters related to P&Ls.
  • Analyze carriers rates every 6 months to confirm if costs are correct.
  • Retain overall ownership of assigned areas of responsibility.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of logistics, capacity and/or customer service,
  • 2 years of management
  • College degree
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Advanced Spanish and English written, oral, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced computer skills. Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including but not limited to VLookup, Pivot Tables and advanced formulas.
  • Effective analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Ability to envision and implement new concepts/strategies.
  • Simultaneous management of multiple tasks.
