You will be responsible for release of manufacturing designs in the established time, ensuring compliance with the customer specifications. Participate in innovation projects to provide Lear with a competitive advantage expedite design launch.

Your task will be

  • Coordinate the design/release of the product so that it is robust and viable for manufacturing
  • Provide support to manufacturing and/or assembly plants when required for various activities
  • Participate in conferences with the client and platform
  • Schedule, coordinate and provide support in the process of cutting and sewing ETR samples
  • Assemble and approve the design before releasing to manufacturing
  • Comply with and enforce the Plant's safety policies and procedures as well as the legal and regulatory standards of ISO14001, ISO45001, IATF /ISO900
  • Develop and implement Design guidelines and Best practices in the design of new products
  • Create and update DFMEA's and SWI's of the assigned programs
  • Create and update vehicle configuration and "Fifth Scales"
  • View and update activities in Profile/LearPro
  • Upload, download, consult information, creation of CR/CN and part numbers on the PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) platform, as well as their structuring
  • Creation of SPR for new purchased parts/rolled goods
  • Approval of clothing drawings and purchased parts
  • Create Work Request
  • Participate in ICR/CTO events to generate ideas
  • Participate in multifunctional teams for continuous improvement (problem solving technique)
  • Obtain approval from ETR/PTR/ECC
  • Ensure the availability of certified complete assemblies for product development
  • Provide support in PTR runs
  • Carry out tolerance accumulation analysis when required
  • Coordination of program transfers between regions.
  • Follow up on the resolution of problems identified during the PDFA process
  • Interpretation of concavity, deformation, seam deviation analysis and scan reports
  • Register the materials in the TES database
  • Approval of color schemes (when applicable)
  • Ensure participation in Industry 4.0 projects
  • Compliance, monitoring and support of the operating model
  • Followup on the creation of POs and procurement of materials
  • Presentation of Design reviews
  • Quote for engineering changes
  • Support in the consolidation of information for the pricing of new programs.
  • Generation of cover for WO
  • Control of the budget assigned in WO for the program in charge
  • Provide support in additional activities according to the needs of the department including overtime and shift rotation

To succeed in this role, you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical engineering, mechatronics or related.

+3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or product design, implementation of engineering changes. Direct communication with clients.
- knowledge in preferably in 3D Software (Catia, Solidworks, Unigraphics), Autocad 2D, use of Teamcenter (PLM). Knowledge of Quality and Manufacturing systems, interpretation of drawings and engineering specifications.

  • Skills: skills in problemsolving techniques, planning/organization, effective communication and leadership.
