With sales of USD 1.5 billion in FY 2021, Landis+Gyr employs around 6,500 talented people across five continents.The Production Planning will lead the development and implementation of the Production Scheduling strategy to facilitate the cost-effective flow of mechandise from suppliers to customers.
This role will be responsible for Demand Planning.Experience of SAP System with exposure to supply chain/production/meterial master/bill of materials/warehouse - internal and externalUnderstanding of capacity planning within a SAP environment (deputizing for MPS when required)Overview of the daily build plan, that encompasses manufacturing cells and sub assembly areasDeal with daily backlof of customer shipments - and scheduling deliveries and providing information to the Customer Service Team on past dues, missing components, recovery dates, tracking information, and support of the Supply Chain TeamTake necessary actions to eliminate delays to ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
Create workflow changes as necessary on an on-going basis for prevention plan for timing issues.Communicate all changes to staff members to ensure engagement and comprehensionSupports in planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operationsMay work with manufacturing team and participates in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parametersLiaise with production team to communicate firm deliverables to the production planReviewing production schedules and shipping schedules to ensure that orders are delivered on timeCoordinating with warehouse managers to ensure that items are available when they are neededCollaborating with production to ensure that production schedules are in line with seasonal trendsOverview of the forecast of future demand basedCoordinating with other departments such as sales and marketing to ensure that products are available when customers need themWorks in close cooperation with peers to achieve the objectives related to delivery performace, inventories, and log costsLiaise with Sales organization on demand management and customer deliveryAssure the flawless material supply to the productionAnticipate potential problems and risks, and generate ideas, insight, and solutions to resolve potential problems, followed by decisive action to implement solutionsTo work according of the I.M.S.
including ISO 9K, 45K, 14K, 27K, and 22301Required Skills:Strong knowledge of production planning/purchasing/logistics managementStrong SAP skills (S4/Hana Implementation is a plus)+5 years SAP (Demand Planning)
Full understanding of the supply chain processPlanning, negotiations, and agreements/contract management experienceElectronic Requirement Planning knowledgeApics CertificateMinimum 5 years of managerial and leadership experience in supply Chain Management within a high-volume manufacturing environmentEnglish business fluency is a mustNegotiations and communciation capabilityAbility to lead/participate in multinational project/working groupsTrack record of driving operational excellence, implementing significant improvements resulting in cost reductionsHigh energy, data driven, and results orientedExcellent change management skills, hands-on and results oriented with a fearless approach to workRequired Experience:
Master Scheduling, MRP and Inventory Control, ERP System Knowledge (or equivalent)Information Management Systems (MS Office, SAP and Agility)Business degree in Engineering or Bussines Administration, and / or the equivalent work experience #LI-LL1
