The International Expansions team is in charge of assisting in the launch of new Amazon marketplaces globally. We are on the lookout for a Sr. Vendor Manager to collaborate with our top vendors worldwide in boosting our direct import business in emerging markets.

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire import supply chain processes, from manufacturers to availability in our Fulfillment Centers, and for devising inventory management strategies to enhance the customer experience.

This role demands an individual who can work independently in a high-paced and at times uncertain setting. Furthermore, given the international scope and rapid growth of this role, we need someone adept at stakeholder management and taking ownership, with a proactive approach to achieving objectives.

As a part of this position, you will be the driving force behind your business operations on a daily basis.

Key job responsibilities:
  • Educate Vendors on new country opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to enhance the joint import business.
  • Enhance vendor relations and import sourcing for cost efficiencies and new product selections.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate integration between new vendors and Amazon's supply chain, product compliance, and merchandising processes.
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices and contract standards.
  • Monitor, analyze, and take charge of key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out-of-stock rate, vendor operational metrics, and marketing investments.
  • Coordinate with vendors and Amazon operations to guarantee a consistent, operational, and cost-effective flow of goods, from ordering to receipt.
  • Work alongside internal teams to comprehend the systems and factors influencing procurement and vendor management decisions.
  • Lead projects and ongoing business enhancement initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience with Excel
  • 7+ years in account management, project or program management, or buying
  • Proficiency in using data to influence business decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in driving internal collaboration amongst teams
  • Expertise in business analysis and P&L management
  • Negotiation experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to present to senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in guiding direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Background in imports, logistics, supply chain, or procurement is a plus.
