Job Title: Safety Associate Manager at PepsiCo

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Legacy Equipment Machine Safety Lifecycle & supporting Safety risk mitigation projects across PMF manufacturing operations.
  • Act as the go-to person for 'Functional Safety - Machinery' to offer guidance and support internally.
  • Maintain the machinery safety risk data registry for PMF manufacturing operations.
  • Lead Machinery Lifecycle processes for Legacy Equipment at Manufacturing Plants, including on-site risk assessments, safety requirement specifications, and safety design validations.
  • Develop and manage a machine safety risk data registry, steering continuous improvement initiatives against set targets.
  • Ensure local implementation of technical pillars of the Worksafe Latam strategic program at PMF.
  • Collaborate with EHS Operations on MESS risk management processes.
  • Provide technical expertise on safety standards and MOC processes.
  • Review safety consultant reports to ensure compliance with internal and international standards.
  • Participate in global working groups to enhance technical safety practices locally.
  • Work with EHS Compliance to ensure correct implementation of the GEHSMS MESS standard.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • TÜV Certification as Functional Safety Engineer (certification renewal throughout role).
  • Minimum 3 years in risk assessments or Functional Safety Engineering.
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics.
  • Proficient in safety standards like ISO 13849, ANSI B11, ISO 12100.
  • Expertise in electrical controls, specifically safety aspects.
  • Advanced English proficiency and technical knowledge.
