The Opportunity
Current position is

Cornmeal COE LATAM as result of centralization model for strategic leverage at regional scope.

Previously, this position was split in two subregions:
CASA and PMF.

Opportunity to consolidate 100 MM USD by TCO across LATAM.

Responsibilities:

Your Impact
As PROCUREMENT MANAGER ASSOCIATE CORNMEAL LATAM your scope would consist of:
Reporting directly to the LATAM Grains lead, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Define and execute the strategy for the
    Cornmeal category bringing the best cost to the area/scope for
    8 Countries (Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Rep, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Chile) in LATAM

Compliance: In a challenging environment, function as a change agent to improve the process, to move this spend to Procurement excellence (compliance, best practices, competitive bidding)

  • Lead the Cornmeal
    BID process. Responsible for achieving the dead line for the timeline, doing the communication with stakeholders, to make sure that we have the responses on time. Implemented the contracts without disruptions and follow the implementation.
  • Deep dive in the category, consolidate volume/spend/vendors of all sites and BUs to
    leverage our volume, when possible, in a regional or Global level
  • Bring
    innovation to the category, new models, TCO analyses and a new model driving savings at local market level and delivering savings on a YOY basis
  • Ensure the implementation of legal
    contract management process that will cover 100% of Suppliers

Work with local MSO ́s to provide the best alternatives for categories, including timing, cost, insurance, quality, etc.

  • Build a strong relationship with the
    internal clients (Manufacturing; Warehouse; Supply Planning, Legal, Quality, Finance, etc.)
  • Open
    communication with the regional and Global team, also with the MSO to bring and share best practices
  • Work with Regional team and local Market to define, develop and implement
    BCP ́s for key materials

Qualifications:

Who Are We Looking For?

Education:

Degree in Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Economy, or Agribusiness

Experience:

  • Degree in Administration, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, Economy, or Agribusiness
  • 4 to 8 years' experience on Procurement/Sourcing preferred Commodities knowledge
  • Spanish, English & Portuguese (Last one is highly desirable)
  • Expertise in financial analysis and cost modeling
  • Strong organizational, execution and negotiating skills
  • Strong People skills ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment; comfortable and effective in influencing at all levels; ability to tactfully give/receive constructive feedback
  • Negotiation skills with high knowledge in
    Milling industry (at least 3 years) and Process change management.
  • Strategic vision: understand the categories, market, and bring alternatives
