Responsible for designing, developing and implementing investment projects in terms of time, quality & cost, that optimize plant resources, operations and sustainability strategies to drive efficiency in Casa Herradura.
Keep optimal operation of the environmental and safety programs, fleet, facilities, boilers, and by-products plant to support the agave and tequila production.
Ensure the continuity of operations and the implementation of preventive maintenance systems and plans in the wastewater treatment plant and utilities support areas.
Safety/Sustainability
Lead the safety and environmental programs of the plant and field operations, by managing and driving key leader metrics (fall protection, machine guarding, arc flash, LOTO, etc.) to maintain a safe environment and promote accident prevention.
Remain abreast of engineering regulatory, environmental, safety, OSHA and other federal & state regulations & requirements

Provide direction and oversight for the installation and replacement of all process equipment in adherence with quality standards and regulations.
Operations and Capital Projects
Lead the preparation of operational budgets for the department and capital budget for Casa Herradura
Lead the engineering project team and support it in the evaluation of projects.
Implement project execution programs for investments that optimize plant resources and guarantee productivity, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate the required services (energy, water, fuel oil, etc.) needed for tequila production to operate properly, as well as forecast and provide the cost of such services in a timely manner.
Own jointly with Operations & Field directors the RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity process). Keep the official capacity numbers for planning.
Continuous Improvement
Assist the team in developing and establishing performance standards and SOPs in conjunction with new equipment installations or process changes.
Engage in TPM integration into Casa Herradura
Cost Containment
Carry out control over operational and maintenance costs for wastewater, utility operations and fleet operations.
Manage labor/overhead budget to optimize resources and cost-efficiency.
Prepare and present the budget for capital, facilities and engineering projects.
Identify, implement and execute cost-savings initiatives.
Leverage resources effectively to meet plant KPIs per budget standards.
Business Continuity
Lead the preparation, communication and implementation of business continuity plan
Keep close monitoring and develops strategies based on change of regulations and environmental policies
Oversight of state and federal environmental requirements, regulations and changes in policies that could impact operations (CFE, CONAGUA, SEMADET, PROFEPA)

Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
Experience:
Experience: 5-7 years in a similar position and 10+ years of experience in engineering /maintenance/ production areas.
Demonstrated people leader experience in a manufacturing environment and technical experience in project/plant engineering and manufacturing operations.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and present finished reports and project updates.
Demonstrated equipment/process troubleshooting skills
