Job Description Summary:

Lead the development and deployment of a plant-wide lean culture, including Hoshin Kanri (strategy deployment), problem-solving, visual management, Lean process development, and Lean training.

Work with Plant Leadership team to establish a customer-based improvement strategy, which drives safety, customer responsiveness, lead time reduction, quality improvement, and cost reductions in line with business/functional objectives.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Create the Lean vision and implement a Lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead time, and waste. All this needs to be translated in a lean road map with specific AWO and kaizens thru the year that the employees will be working on.
  • Lead plantwide training and deployment of practical problemsolving methodology.
  • Create and lead performance management reporting through Lean visual management methods to improve SQDCM.
  • Support early integration of Lean principles in product design & process development for New Product Introductions.
  • Drive measurable improvements in leadtime, customer delivery, productivity, and inventory.
  • Develop value stream maps and process _swimlane_ charts to identify process improvement opportunities and make improvement through practical problemsolving.
  • Establish and drive a Gemba walk methodology that drives crossfunctional problem
- solving on the shop floor.

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of Lean performance management initiatives and reviews with the plant leadership team.
  • Coach, train and mentor site leadership on the fundamentals and principals of Lean Manufacturing & Management methods.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university ) + Minimum of 3 years of lean manufacturing leadership experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience leading Lean Action Workouts or other strategic crossfunctional Lean improvement activities.
  • 3 years of experience in practical problemsolving methodology.
  • Strong (Lean) performance management skills
  • Daily/weekly/monthly operating reviews, KPI development & management.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
  • Meeting leadership, Microsoft PowerPoint and Teams.
