What are we looking for?

We are looking for a BD Director. Will be responsible for identifying, creating, and executing business opportunities to drive growth and the execution of the business plan. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, relationship building, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Enable the company to deploy equity in high-quality renewable energy projects

What challenges will you face?

  • Origination and execution of opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Transaction execution, preparation of M&A bidding materials in coordination with M&A, deal management, managing teams through the execution of the growth pipeline (greenfield and M&A), preparation of board materials, coordination of advisors (market, technical, tax, financial, legal, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with partners, key stakeholders, developers, local players, institutional investors, IPPs, utilities, etc.
  • negotiation of corporate material agreements, such a, memorandum of understanding, letters of intent, shareholders agreement, shareholdersloansn, SPA(s), investment agreements, financingagreementst, collateral documents, etc.
  • Management evaluation of investment opportunities.
  • Work with different teams, to identify i) risks and mitigation strategies and ii) potential optimizations/improvements for both operating assets and investment opportunities.
  • Presentations & Reporting, prepared materials for senior management, investment committees, and investors' presentations.
  • Optimizing capital structures and financing strategies in coordination with the structure finance and M&A teams.
  • Active participation in local and regional investment committees.
  • Research different market trends and keep track of deal flow. Map the sector to identify business opportunities and to monitor key competitors' activities

What specific knowledge do you need?

  • At least 8 years of experience in the infrastructure sector (business development, consulting, investment banking, corporates), ideally in the power sector.
  • Experience in driving and executing transactions, designing and executing business plans.
  • Experience drafting board materials for obtaining approval to invest in projects.
  • Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish both written and spoken
