The Senior Manager, Payroll will be responsible for the oversight and successful delivery of payroll operations ensuring the highest levels of quality and timeliness, full compliance of internal and external policies and regulations across different countries across different countries in the Americas. This position will contribute to the establishment of policies and procedures for the payroll function.
They are responsible for guiding their team in the execution of all payroll related processes, services and solutions. They will interface with HRBPs, COEs, Finance, IT, Ingredion sites, Government entities and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery within agreed upon service levels.
Continuously seeking improvement on process and service delivery adhering to the existing HR model.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll processing
- Ensure accuracy in payroll computations and adherence to company policies and relevant regulations
- administer employee benefits programs related to payroll, including health insurance, retirement plans and other deductions
- Manage payroll team to ensure activities are well-managed and payroll processes completed on time and within quality commitments.
- Develop and Engage team
- Maintain Accurate and up to date operating procedures
- Manage and oversee the execution of day-to-day payroll input collection, handoffs, approvals, and issue management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in payroll management.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure payroll compliance
- Conduct Monthly Operating reviews with senior management and key business partners to drive operational Excellence.
- Share relevant payroll information, access and knowledge with other HR teams to provide the best employee and manager experience and support thru the right support channel.
- Manage resolution of payroll related escalated inquiries and complaints.
- Serve as liaison to Employees, Managers, HRBPs, COE,s and vendors when Payroll cases require escalation.
- implement and enforce policies and procedures to guarantee accurate and legal payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and controls.
- Maintain accurate and up to date payroll records as required
- Collaborate with audit teams for internal and external audits and quickly remediate any findings
- Manage Vendor relationships and performance
- Other Duties as Assigned.
- 10 or more years of experience in Payroll and related processing in an in-house environment in different countries across the Americas with a minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial role managing more than 5 people.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Leadership and management experience directing the work of others, mentoring, development, keep engaged for local and remote team members.
- Experience in Compensation and Benefits processes, procedures, policies and practices.
- Knowledgeable of Payroll Compliance and Regulatory requirements in All Countries in the Americas.
- Expert in measuring and reporting payroll operation with relevant key performance indicators.
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service-oriented with skills in critical thinking and continuous improvement.
- Excellent aptitude and adoption of technology tools to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency.
- Proficient in ADP Global View Payroll Systems - Kronos and ADP T&A a plus.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel including mastery of v-lookup, pivot tables and advanced formula functions.
- Possesses the ability to collaborate effectively with others, manage conflict and resolve issue. Key stakeholders include HR, Finance, Plants and employees and external parties.
- Must be able to work under tight timelines and have excellent organization and time management skills for managing multiple, diverse, and conflicting activities.
- Multi-lingual capability. Spanish and English proficiency required; French is highly desirable.
- Experience planning, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Limited travel required.
