Your Role and Responsibilities

We're on the lookout for a motivated General Ledger Supervisor to lead our finance team, focusing on reconciliations. As the Supervisor, you'll oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and providing guidance to the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting and proven supervisory skills.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the general ledger accounting team's activities, including reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Review reconciliation procedures, identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Provide training and mentoring to support the team's professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments for effective communication and coordination.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and best practices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

B+ to C1 proficiency in English and native fluency in Spanish (written and spoken).

Good Accounting Skills: Understanding of UUSS GAPP and/or IFRS is preferred.

Reconciliation Skills: Proficiency in reconciling various accounts like bank accounts, AR, AP, and intercompany accounts.

Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review financial data for accuracy.

Leadership: Leading by example, mentoring team members for growth.

Analytical Acumen: Analyzing financial data to maintain accuracy.

System Competence: Familiarity with accounting software and ERPs like SAP or Oracle.

Effective Communication: Clear communication of financial information.

Time Management: Efficiently prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Troubleshooting reconciliation discrepancies.

Adaptability: Readiness to embrace changes in accounting standards.

Collaborative Spirit: Effective teamwork within the finance department.

Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on reconciliation.
  • Expert knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Extensive experience in complex reconciliation processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERPs.
