Company Description_At Turner & Townsend we're passionate about making the difference.That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society._- Every day we help our major global clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects in over 108 offices in 45 countries worldwide._- Our team is dynamic, innovative and client focused.Our clients value our proactive approach, depth of expertise, integrity and the quality we deliver.As a result, our people get to work on some of the most exciting projects in the world._**Job Description**:As a Commercial Manager, you are required to provide the primary interface between Client commercial aspects and the project team.You are the escalation point and accountable for the performance of the commercial matters for the team supporting you.You are required to act as the single focal point of contact and drive the Cost Consultants towards the target Client objectives and execute your responsibilities professionally and in line with the expectations for a sector leader.The Commercial Manager role is a key position on Projects.Combining the management of typical costs for delivering construction projects to Client ´s budget, finance and reporting systems.Tracking individual budgets for Contractors, Consultants, and relevant Stakeholders.Directly managing the performance of the Cost Consultant, all Consultant costs and leading through others the assessment of all project's costs, change, claims and reporting.Confident and assertive in the governance of Client ´s systems & process, whilst a key and senior member of the team and capable of team building and leadership.Tracking potential claims and forming appropriate responses in accordance with, and to the timescales of the Contract.Manage and report on sensitive / highly confidential budget items.- Advice on contract administration, procurement delivery options, communication flow.- Review any changes requested by Client, driven by the design, cost, programme or stakeholders during the design and construction period.- Ensure inputs from the Cost Consultant are correct and coordinated with Stakeholders and provide written comment and compile supporting documentation in accordance with the PEP and submit Change Request as required as per enclosed change request guideline.- Follow through approved Change Request with preparation of Engineer's Instruction for implementation.- Arrange all necessary reviews to obtain approvals.Produce and maintain a weekly tracker of progress and issue to Client for review.- Produce a tracker that records all Project Change.Qualifications**Education / Experience**:- Degree or trade qualifications in a construction commercial related discipline (architectural or engineering background).- 10 to 15 years relevant and specific work experience.- Understanding of contracts legal principles.- Ability to work within a team and where appropriate alone or with limited guidance, as appropriate.- Experience in face-to-face negotiations, project management, risk awareness, and issue escalation.- Superior written and verbal communication skills; Fluent in English- Effective time management skills and strong motivation to succeed- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.- Transparency, accountability, and reliability.**Skills and Qualifications**- Acumen with commercial matters and financial reporting systems.- Be aware of the broader environmental, social and economic perspectives and how they may affect the project.- Support and provide leadership to your PD and the project team.- Challenge assumptions, assessments and drive performance to time and budget- Innovative in approach and seek new solutions for continuous improvement- Enforce strong governance and ethical mandates for all commercial mattersAdditional Information_Our inspired people share our vision and mission.We provide a great place to work, where each person has the opportunity and voice to affect change._- We want our people to succeed both in work and life.To support this we promote a healthy, productive and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance._-- #LI-KS1_
