Overviewalbo is a leading fintech company offering financial products to individuals and SMB's with the mission to bring financial freedom to everyone everywhere.ResponsibilitiesAs the leader of our Accounting & Tax team, you will manage the daily operations of the accounting department.Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements.Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department while providing leadership and guidance to the team.Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.Interact at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual reports.Contributing to and defining consolidation, as well as financial control processes and procedures.Prepare consolidated general ledger accounts in ERP, Oracle, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Mexican Fintech Law.Coordinate the accounting and month end closing process.Responsible for the prompt presentation of taxes to the local authorities (SAT).Comply with the reporting deadlines to the local authority(CNBV): Responsible for the consolidation and delivery of the reports required by the regulator.Ensure accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reporting.Prepare analysis on movements in key general ledger accounts, managing the accounting policy, ensuring that it is up-to-date and latest changes in IFRS, NIIF and Group policies are implemented.Deliver process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process – both via automation and control.Participate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.Advise on accounting and reporting issues.About You And What Type Of Skills You'll Need+7 years of experience in Finance and Controlling functions.Nice to have experience working in financial and regulated institutions.As we are a regulated company, we are looking for someone with a lot of experience in Mexican regulation.Advanced English level.Hands on: We're looking for a leader who is comfortable and willing to be a hands-on contributor.You are energized by rolling up your sleeves and making things happen, and enabling your team to do the same.Done is better than perfect: As things change and move quickly, you are excited by the fast pace, and opportunity to constantly learn and help your team learn.Communication: Excellent ability to communicate internally and externally, ability to quickly build relationships, and work well cross-functionally.Extreme ownership: You hold yourself accountable to a high bar.You are supremely organized and you see what needs to happen in order to achieve goals.Results & Data Driven: You understand the metrics of the business you are responsible for and you demonstrate these insights to drive constant improvement.#J-*****-Ljbffr
