Engineering Manager

**Position**:Manufacturing & Quality Engineering Manager**Location: Carretera Dulces Nombres, Pesqueria****Position Overview**: The Manufacturing & Quality Engineering Manager leads and supervises the activities of the Manufacturing/Quality Engineering and Maintenance functions.Accountabilities include the asset management of production equipment, building and infrastructure.Lead teams focusing on upgrades and automation, tooling, materials master data, BOMs and routers generation and maintenance in SAP, CNC programming establishment of total productive maintenance (TPM), development and documentation of standardized processes.Identification and implementation of Lean Manufacturing improvement projects.Capital Expenditure project generation, proposal, implementation and management/maintenance.Keep all processes under the control of design according to corporate standards, guarantee the quality from the input of the raw material to its output, giving immediate response to the claims of the customers, looking for the root cause to correct the non-conformance, establishing strategies so that the same failure mode will be prevented.Participate in the development of improvements and innovations in projects requested by the Management or proposed by Product Engineering and keep the operation in the best conditions of safety and hygiene, complying with any official Mexican/Company standard applicable to the and keeping the records properly maintained, documented and stored for review/request by the company and official competent authorities.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:- Works closely with staff safety coordinator to assure work performed by both internal engineering/quality and maintenance department members and as well as outside contractors work is performed safely and properly in compliance with governing agencies- Maintaining accurate the materials master data, bill of materials and routings.- Drive efficiency and productivity through machine tool utilization, establishment and sustainment of standardized work for all processes including but not limited to: machining, coating, heat-treat, assembly, test and pack/crating processes.- Responsible for defining and implementing a sustained and continuously improved TPM program.- Manages process and design documentation as well as their control.- Keeps records of design changes, process changes, and related history.- Manages storage and retention of records including electronic data for engineering and maintenance data such as drawings, processes, and machine programs.- Maintains machine documentation and history.- Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.- Requisitions tools, equipment, repair parts and supplies.- Communicates and enforces company policies to workers and enforces safety, environmental, and electrical regulations.**Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities**:- Ability to analyze data and develop corresponding action plans based upon trends.- Root cause and countermeasure skills are required.- Ability to develop technology roadmap for the future as related to maintaining and distributing CNC program files.- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.- Ability to solve technical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.- Skills in machine shop, coating, heat-treat and assembly in a high mix-low volume production environment.- Develops, implements and ensures the adherence to the control plans to assure the quality of the processes and products- Identifies Root Cause and countermeasure/corrective/preventive actions to continuously improve the customer and employee experience as well as the performance of the processes in a sustainable manner- Maintains a collaborative, team relationship with direct reports, peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the group's achievement of goals and to help foster a positive work environment- Demonstrates a friendly, responsive, service-minded attitude to all internal and external customers- Demonstrates a willingness to accept change and new approaches, including additional responsibilities- Sets work plans and considers priorities for completing assignments in order to meet deadlines- Maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations**Required Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Engineering degree from four-year college.- 10+ years related experience required in a low volume/high mix production environment.- A deep knowledge of electricity, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, CNC programming
