**Date**:Feb 28, ******Location**: Apodaca, NLE, MX, *******Company**:CorningRequisition Number: *****Corning is vital to progress - in the industries we help shape and in the world we share.We invent life-changing technologies using materials science.Our scientific and manufacturing expertise, boundless curiosity, and commitment to purposeful invention place us at the center of the way the world interacts, works, learns, and lives.Our sustained investment in research, development, and invention means we're always ready to solve the toughest challenges alongside our customers.Corning's businesses are ever evolving to best serve our customers, industries, and consumers.Today, we accelerate and transform life sciences, mobile consumer electronics, optical communications, display, and automotive markets.We are changing the world with:- Trusted products that accelerate drug discovery, development, and delivery to save lives- Damage-resistant cover glass to enhance the devices that keep us connected- Optical fiber, wireless technologies, and connectivity solutions to carry information and ideas at the speed of light- Precision glass for advanced displays to deliver richer experiences- Auto glass and ceramics to drive cleaner, safer, and smarter transportation**Scope of Position**:Corning Shared Services (CSS) supports Corning's global operations and delivers profitable growth through evolving processes, ensuring compliance, and executing vital transactions.The CSS Team Lead/Analyst II, RTR, Americas will be responsible for leading the Record-to-Report team in day-to-day and month end closing transactions.This person must be process and controls oriented, open minded, continuous improvement focused, and able to motivate the team for a high level of performance.- Ensures adherence to CSS Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), and drives continuous and controlled improvement processes throughout span of responsibilities- Team Lead responsibility for a portion of the RTR Team- Drives prioritization and clarity in day-to-day tasks for team**Key Responsibilities**:- Responsible for various accounting processes that are part of the accounting close- Become team expert in Project Costing/Asset Management processes- Review/approve team journal entries and account reconciliations in conjunction with RTR Manager- Perform various complex accounting tasks as needed including account reconciliations, analysis, and journal entry preparation as required- Provide support for ongoing audit requirements- Implement process improvements that contribute to increased efficiency and controls- Support/supervise/mentor RTR Finance Coordinators- Ensure a strong accounting team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining RTR team members; communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; and enforcing policies and procedures.- Monitor operation effectiveness using KPI's and dashboards, determining organizational health and readiness- Maintain strong accounting controls by complying with established RCM's, process narratives and accounting principles and policies- Provide guidance to other CSS teams in the area of compliance, control and SOXs- Ensure team training plans and proper SOPs exist to maintain continuity of processes during periods of team transition and change- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures, processes and automations to enhance the workflow of the department.- Challenge and lead team to identify, implement, and adopt digital and PEx solutions including RPA, Macros, and other Digital Operations capabilities to achieve increased efficiencies and effectiveness**Experiences/Education - Required**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance- Accounting coursework through Intermediate Accounting II- 2+ years experience as a Financial /Accounting Analyst**Desired & Soft Skills**:- Understanding of Shared Services operations- PeopleSoft, SAP ECC, and SAP S4Hana ERP knowledge- Understanding of transactional, functional and reporting currency- Green Belt certification- Team Player- Ability to act under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Supervisory experience- Strong written and oral communication- Organization and attention to detail- Analytical and problem-solving skills- Time management- Data Analytics- Mathematical and deductive reasoning- Critical thinking- Active learning- Cross-cultural sensitivity- Open minded- Highly collaborativeCorning Puts YOU FirstWe are committed to supporting your health, financial, career development, and life goals as you grow professionally and personally to achieve your highest potential.All benefits begin as soon as you start your career at Cornin
