Job Summary We’re currently looking for an Industrial / Ergonomic Engineer to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals. Successful Candidates Will Have the Following Attributes Knowledge of ergonomic risk assessments: NIOSH, Liberty Mutual, Rodgers/Kodak, Strain Index, AAMA, Metabolic, RULA, REBA, Anthropometric tables, and other ergonomic tools Experience applying industrial ergonomics The ability to report project status accurately and in a timely fashion to manager‑level management Strong negotiation skills to drive timing targets Working under pressure and time availability Teamwork proactive with a sense of urgency & customer‑service attitude to drive customer satisfaction (internal & external) Strong communication skills to interact with different levels of members within the organization Organizational and planning skills Experience in the manufacturing environment Knowledge of ergonomic simulation software (Jack) Responsibilities Support different teams in the evaluation of existing/future workstations regarding ergonomic risks Evaluate workstations/operations based on ergonomic risk assessments Recommend corrective actions and lead teams to completion as needed Meet program deliverables on time and schedule Provide regular (daily/weekly, etc.) tracking status to the designated team leader Attend designated meetings to provide status reports Accomplish the department objectives addressed by the client using problem‑solving techniques Capture and register all tryouts, run‑offs, and quality impacts for the project implementations and engineering updates/upgrades Manage within master timing charts with corrective actions and recovery plans identified where needed Support and follow up on open issues Design new workstations Create and edit operator instruction sheets Evaluate workstations based on safety risk Evaluate workstations based on quality requirements Create and edit time‑study workstations to meet the workload Edit process sheets for the process (elements, parts, tools, and variation codes) Allocate process sheets through workstations/operations Conduct physical‑demands analyses, ergonomic risk analyses on single jobs, production lines, or entire plants Perform ergonomic assessments using standard ergonomic analysis tools and/or Digital Human Modeling software and complete detailed technical reports Provide assembly‑plant ergonomic support to identify and prioritize ergonomic risks, conduct ergonomic risk assessments, and provide recommendations on eliminating risk Perform virtual assessment of ergonomic risk utilizing software systems such as Teamcenter Process Simulate and/or Jack, and provide recommendations for improvements Develop ergonomic specifications and standards through literature review, research, and ergonomic analysis Requirements B.S. or M.S. in Kinesiology, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics, or a related discipline Associate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Associate Ergonomist (AE) certification, or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) is an asset Minimum of 1‑2 years of industrial ergonomics or a passion to learn and grow in the industry Experience in the automotive industry Automotive customer portal knowledge Fluent‑written and spoken technical English language Additional Information Environment — typical office and/or manufacturing plant floor facilities May be required to work outside of typical office hours to support client projects Ability to work independently with little or limited supervision Benefits Health Care Plan Paid Time Off Training & Development Key Skills: ASP.NET, Health Education, Fashion Designing, Fiber, Investigation Employment Type: Full‑Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Yearly Salary: 1 – 2 #J-18808-Ljbffr
