**Description**ISP IT Assistant Role ProfilePurpose of RoleThe IT Assistant supports the smooth operation of the school's technology infrastructure by providing technical assistance to staff and students, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues.This role contributes to a reliable and secure technology environment that supports teaching, learning, and administrative functions.ISP PrinciplesBegin with our children and students.Our children and students are at the heart of what we do.Simply, their success is our success.Wellbeing and safety are both essential for learners and learning.Therefore, we are consistent in identifying potential safeguarding and Health & Safety issues and acting and following up on all concerns appropriately.Treat everyone with care and respect.We look after one another, embrace similarities and differences and promote the well-being of self and others.Are financially responsible.We make financial choices carefully based on the needs of the children, students and our schools.Learn continuously.Getting better is what drives us.We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement.Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level technical support for staff and students regarding hardware, software, and network issues.- Install, configure, and maintain school computers, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.- Assist in maintaining the inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.- Support the setup and troubleshooting of classroom technology (e.g., smart boards, AV equipment).- Monitor and report network or system issues to the IT Coordinator for resolution.- Ensure data security by following school IT policies and procedures.- Document recurring problems and solutions to support continuous improvement.- Assist with software updates, system backups, and routine maintenance tasks.- Provide basic training or guidance to staff and students on the use of school technology tools.- Collaborate with the IT team to support school events that require technological setup.- Principio del formularioFinal del formulario**Skills**:- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.- Good communication and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical users.- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.- Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.- Customer-service oriented mindset.Qualifications and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree in IT or related field preferred.- Basic experience with Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common educational software.- Familiarity with networks, printers, and audiovisual equipment.- Previous experience in a similar IT support or helpdesk role is an advantage.- Willingness to learn and grow professionally in a school environment.- Basic English communication skills (written and spoken) if required.ISP Commitment to Safeguarding Principles.ISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.ISP Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
