The company name will be disclosed to candidates during the interview process.We are supporting a high-growth fintech company in the search for a Technical Lead to lead a backend engineering squad focused on payments integrations and platform scalability.This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical depth, system design, and team mentorship in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment.What You’ll DoLead a multidisciplinary engineering squad responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining integrations with:Payment Service Providers (PSPs)AcquirersGatewaysEmerging fintech technologiesAct as a technical leader and hands‑on contributor, including:System and architecture designCode reviews and technical guidanceComplex troubleshooting and implementation supportOwn the full lifecycle of integrations:Discovery and technical designDevelopment and deploymentProduction monitoring and optimizationCollaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Business teams in an agile environment.Ensure best practices across:Coding standardsDocumentationTestingObservability and monitoringDesign and implement low‑latency, high‑availability, high‑performance backend systems and microservices.Mentor and develop backend engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.Ensure correct implementation of security, privacy, and data protection standards, following OWASP principles.Support the evolution of APIs, microservices, and integration frameworks that scale across countries and providers.Minimum QualificationsFluency in English and Spanish.Proven experience leading engineering teams or technical initiatives.Strong ability to drive technical decision‑making, coach engineers, and manage shifting priorities.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Strong proficiency in Golang.Experience designing and implementing backend services with an AI‑first mindset, including:AI‑assisted codingAutomated test generationCode refactoring using LLMsAbility to define standards and best practices for AI‑assisted development workflows.Experience with Java or Kotlin is a plus.Solid understanding of microservices architectures, APIs, and integration patterns.Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.Hands‑on experience with:Unit testingGit‑based workflowsProven ability to design scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems.Strong knowledge of OWASP principles and secure software development practices.Ability to work autonomously within a fast‑evolving roadmap.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the fintech industryFamiliarity with cloud and DevOps environments (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).Experience working with SCRUM or agile frameworks.Previous experience leading integration‑focused or platform engineering teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
