As Hardware Board Design Engineer Intern your responsibilities are oriented to participating in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment.**Responsibilities include**:- Prepare specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.- Develop procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems.- Initiate, guide, and coordinate overall design and development of new ideas and products.- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.**Qualifications**Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.**Minimum Qualifications**:- 6+ months of analog and/or digital circuits experience.- 3+ months of computer architecture basic experience.- Intermediate English communication skills.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience with Industrial Computer Aided Design (CAD) toolset for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) design such as Cadence, ORCAD, Proteus or similar.- Programming skills in Python and scripting.- Intel Server architectures knowledge.- Digital Design knowledge (VHDL/Verilog).**Inside this Business Group**The Data Platforms Engineering and Architecture (DPEA) Group invents, designs & builds the world's most critical computing platforms which fuel Intel's most important business and solve the world's most fundamental problems.DPEA enables that data center which is the underpinning for every data-driven service, from artificial intelligence to 5G to high-performance computing, and DCG delivers the products and technologies—spanning software, processors, storage, I/O, and networking solutions—that fuel cloud, communications, enterprise, and government data centers around the world.**Work Model for this Role**This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
