Role Definition Designs, develops, builds, and implements new components, products, or technologies. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design and development of cab industry design, layout and operator interface systems for new machine platforms. Translate user needs, ergonomic principles, and brand identity into innovative and manufacturable design solutions. Develop and validate concepts using 3D tools, mock-ups, and simulation software. Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of cab systems. Conduct user research, usability testing, and design reviews to refine interface layouts and control placements. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal design guidelines. Prepare and present design documentation, specifications, and technical reports. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality targets. Research new materials and competitive products. Organize, coordinate, and execute the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes. Assist supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Oversee the efforts of drafting and testing specialists. Develop and document functional requirements and translate into detail design documents. Participate in buy-build analysis for product components. Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports. Degree Requirement Degree required, requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum. Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design. Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
