**Travelport is a place of opportunity.It's our incredible team that makes our company great - our people drive our winning culture.****What's Travelport?**Travelport is a worldwide travel retail platform that provides easy ways for businesses like airlines, hotels, and car rental companies to connect through personalized content to agencies and travelers.The world is changing, and our industry must change with it.We're leading the change; we are the change.We are on a mission to power the future of travel; come join us.**What does a great Linux DevOps Engineer do?**Come join our z/TPF Development Services Team where our focus is providing the optimal level of Service to our Customers and for growing 'you'.We are looking for a Systems Engineer who can architect, develop, and provide support for our suite of z/TPF development products using current generation technologies and DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.If you are passionate about your work, strive towards excellence, detail-oriented, self-driven and are a great team player then this position is for you.You will have the opportunity to work with global teams, collaborate with outstanding minds, as well as gain a well-rounded professional experience.**Responsibilities include**:- Drive development effort End-to-End for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards.- Design, implement, maintain, and support platform services associated with the CI/CD pipelines- Enforce best practices for security and reliability.- Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot platform issues.- Work with OS Linux/OS windows team to install server patches and certificate updates- Increase the DevOps Maturity level within the team in various areas- Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software.- Proactively work with the team to improve the CI/CD and automation capabilities.- Contributes to establishment and enforcement of standards and best practices.Focused on efficient, high performance, high reliability/stability experience and architectural alignment of solution.**Who we are looking for in this role**:- 4-year degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or combination of experience and education- 5+ years of Experience as a Linux/DevOps Engineer.- Strong Linux experience, especially with RHEL and compatible systems.- Strong understanding of the internal data structure of Git, Git protocol source code with relevant work experience.- Proficiency in bash scripts and Git/GitHub Actions is a must.- Expert in troubleshooting problems and Log File analysis.- Experience with CI/CD: pipeline management with GitHub Actions, Jenkins- Experience with Linux/ Windows Servers, Active MQ, PostgreSQL Server administration, phpMyAdmin, and clustering- Experience setting up Tomcat, etcd clusters, bootstrap- Experience with Load balancing, such as F5- Experience with Server Monitoring tools such as Ganglia, Nagios, Observium.- Experience with Application Performance tools such as kSar, Dynatrace, JMeter- Working knowledge of how to manage production, high-availability deployments, with backup and disaster recovery and automated failover.- Experience with alerting, monitoring, and deployments.- Excellent analytical skills and capable of solving complex technical problems independently.- Has a growth mindset and is willing to learn new technologies and take on different assignments.- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Able to communicate technical information in a clear and succinct manner.- Shares knowledge with others and assists new team members.**Our ambition is to hire for potential not just experience, and you're likely to succeed if you**:- Are always ready to give it your all and deliver high quality work- Are excited to use your creativity and innovative thinking to try new things- Take responsibility and own your work- Are courageous and ambitious to challenge what's been done before**Benefits of working at Travelport****Interested?We'd love for you to get in touch
