**Lead Fabric & Furniture Designer*****Responsibilities**:- Responsible for assisting in the design and development of new furniture and têxtile collections- Responsible for creating original CAD artwork, color matching, and editing existing artwork that is provided either by a vendor or a licensed designer- Figuring out customers needs and making sure they are met in terms of design.- Design different options and make sure they are presented well to the customer- Provide design counsel to customer and help make decisions- Compile technical specifications and costs by construction for item setup- Administrative duties such as tracking sample shipments and organizing collection documents.- Research industry trends for design inspiration.- Communicate and collaborate with company customers on a daily basis, identify needs and make sure they are met through design.- Draw, sketch, and plan designs for home products in collaboration with the direction provided by the merchandising team.- Develop company's design concepts.- Select fabrics, embellishments, colors, or style for each design.- Source & develop raw materials, arrange sample yardage as needed.- Use computer-aided design programs (CAD) to create designs as required and work closely with the Product Development team and Technical Design Team.- Collaborate with other functions i.e. designer, customer service, supply chain.**Qualifications:- Graduate or student in interior/industrial/furniture design- Strong English skills are a MUST.- Politeness and excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Design experience required.- Demonstrated success with a portfolio of current or prior design work is considered an advantage.- Must be highly organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.- Have experience with sourcing**Requirements**:- Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design or Merchandising & Design or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.- Must have excellent computer skills including thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.- Thorough knowledge of MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint and Word.***Job Types**: Full-time, PermanentApplication Question(s):- Please share your gross salary expectation per month in MXN.**Experience**:- Fabric/Furniture: 1 year (preferred)**Language**:- English (required)
