**Junior Firewall Engineer**Porsche is growing its presence in México through its consulting company MHP, one of the leading management and IT consultancies for the automotive industry and a proven expert in other sectors, with more than 4,000 employees providing support to more than 300 customers worldwide from 19 locations.MHP Management and IT Consulting México just started operations in October with over thirty team members.The headquarter is in Guadalajara, where we are working in a modern office environment with a flexible hybrid model, but we are also open to finding the right person across the country.**Position Overview**:MHP Mexico, part of the Porsche Group, is seeking a **Junior Firewall Engineer** to support the day-to-day operational tasks related to network security.This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience working with enterprise-level firewall environments (Fortinet or Palo Alto preferred).You'll join a dynamic IT security team, working in a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.**Key Responsabilities**:- Perform basic firewall tasks, including rule/policy creation and updates based on defined frameworks.- Process firewall change requests and ensure proper documentation.- Ensure connectivity validation (e.g., verify port availability, interface connectivity).- Assist in the maintenance of network security configurations under guidance.- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for all firewall-related operations.- Support incident response teams with relevant information on firewall rules when required.- Follow established security and network policies — no design or architecture decisions involved.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field (or currently finishing).- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, security or networking roles involving **firewall** exposure.- **Basic working knowledge of Fortinet, Palo Alto, or other firewall technologies (ideally one of the first two).**- Understanding of networking and security concepts: TCP/IP, ports, VPN, routing, NAT, access control.- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.- Experience creating structured documentation and using ticketing systems.- Fluent in written and spoken English (B1 Level or higher).**Nice to Have**:- Completed certifications such as Fortinet, Palo Alto ACE, or Cisco CCNA Security.- Participation in university projects or internships focused on network security or infrastructureReady for a new challenge?Join MHP- A Porsche Company and take the next step in your professional journey with a team that values passion, growth, and collaboration.Pay: $30,****** - $35,****** per month**Education**:- Bachelor's (required)**Experience**:- Palo Alto: 1 year (preferred)- Network security: 1 year (preferred)- Fortinet: 1 year (preferred)**Language**:- English (required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in *****, Circunvalación Guevara, Jal.
