Head of Operations-Alternative Investments.

We are seeking a senior operations leader to oversee specialized operations in Mexico related to Alternative Investment structures and pension fund vehicles. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end administration of regulated investment mandates, ensuring full compliance with Mexican regulatory requirements while delivering accurate, transparent, and timely reporting to both clients and regulatory authorities. The position also oversees treasury management, tax services, payroll, and labor matters related to these structures, while coordinating closely with global service teams in a cross-border environment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in pension fund structures, fiduciary vehicles, or fund administration, with exposure to CERPIs, CKDs, AFORES, or similar Mexican institutional investment vehicles.
Strong leadership capabilities and in-depth knowledge of the Mexican regulatory framework (CNBV, CONSAR, BMV/BIVA) are essential. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the administration of Alternative Investment trust structures, ensuring compliance with investment mandatesManage investment subscriptions, capital calls, disbursements, and cash flow operationsLead treasury management and liquidity planning for investment vehiclesSupervise portfolio/fund accounting, NAV calculations, and financial reportingCoordinate audits and ad hoc reporting for clients and stakeholdersEnsure regulatory reporting and disclosures to CNBV, BMV/BIVA, and CONSARSupport AFORES-related instructions, including committees and assembliesOversee tax structuring and tax service deliveryManage payroll and labor matters linked to trust/fund operationsAct as escalation point for client-related operational issuesLead and develop a high-compliance, high-accuracy operations teamRequired Experience & SkillsDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field10+ years in fund administration, fiduciary management, or pension fund services5+ years leading teams in regulated financial environmentsStrong knowledge of AFORES, CERPIs, CKDs, and Mexican pension fund structuresExperience with fund accounting, NAV calculations, treasury operationsKnowledge of IFRS, Mexican GAAP, and tax frameworksExperience interacting with regulators (CNBV, CONSAR, BMV/BIVA)Strong analytical skills and attention to detailAdvanced Excel; fund administration systems experience is a plusFluency in Spanish and English
