Staff Technical Product Manager

Job Description Summary As a member of GE Vernova’s HQ Digital Technology (DT) Enabling Functions team, the Technical Product Manager (TPM) is responsible for working in lock‑step with domain leaders to create a clear strategic direction for applications and products in our portfolio for key business functions. The TPM partners with functional stakeholders to deliver a clear and descriptive set of requirements and ensures seamless integration and alignment across stakeholders including Business Function Partners (Internal Customers), Process Owners, Domain Leaders, Application Managers, Enterprise and Technical Architects, and Development & Ops teams. Roles and Responsibilities Demonstrates strong business acumen and stays current on industry trends. Interacts with customers/stakeholders in voice‑of‑customer requirement gathering, fine‑tuning, and obtaining product feedback. Works with cross‑functional teams to deliver features and significant products. Possesses deep understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the product. Collaborates routinely with UX on design decisions and conducts customer/stakeholder interviews elaborating on personas. Demonstrates superior influencing skills to ensure alignment between customer, product manager and cross‑functional teams. Owns releases and sprint backlogs; coordinates short‑term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases. Manages the backlog, continuously ordering and prioritizing to keep 1‑2 sprints always ready. Prioritizes based on customer problems and needs validation. Applies strategic problem‑decomposition skills to navigate ambiguity. Engages frequently (~50 %) with the development team to facilitate discussions, provide clarifications, story acceptance, testing, and validation; contributes to design activities. Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories. Partners with Development Leadership/Service Owners to ensure a healthy development process. Expert in Agile methodology. Education Qualification Bachelor’s Degree with advanced professional experience in DT/IT technical project/program and product management.
