At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we're changing the way the world shops and sells.Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world.We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day.We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.Our Tax Accountant will work with their Manager, Sr.Manager, and Director to ensure that the appropriate corporate tax policies, methods, standards, processes, reporting, and training are developed, applied, and understood by impacted stakeholdersAs a tax accountant, you willWork with manager, senior manager, and director to review, analyze and interpret new information reporting and withholding requirementsWork with product and technology, to capture facts and develop strategies to ensure compliance with Information Reporting and Withholding (IR&W) proceduresAnalyze information used in the preparation of various information returnsReview Forms W-9, W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E, IRS Letter 147C, and other similar documentsSupport team onK &S issuance and reporting and work with tax vendor / partner on corrections and amendmentsSupport US and Mexico quarterly and monthly withholding processes and payment remittances to tax authoritiesAssist with IRS Notices such as CPand TIN solicitationsWork with Mexico legal counsel and tax partner on current information reporting requirements and monitor any changes to local requirementsReview tax related fraud and account takeover cases and partner with risk and compliance teamsCross-train with other tax accountants to provide back-up supportAssist IR&W team members as neededQualifications includeClear and concise communication skills (both verbal and written)Fluent in English and Spanish (both verbal and written)2+ years experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously2+ years experience building positive relationships with collaborators, colleagues, and partners2+ years working with IRS Tax Forms (eg. W-8 / W-9) validation is helpful2+ years experience with US Tax principles is preferred2+ years experience with MS Excel, Google Sheets, MS Powerpoint, Google Slides, Atlassian's Jira and Confluence productsAbility to quickly grasp sophisticated tax requirementsAbility to communicate tax requirements to other stakeholdersAbility to work independently and be a phenomenal teammateJobs posted with location as "Remote - United States (Excludes : HI, NM)" excludes residents of Hawaii and New Mexico.#J-*****-Ljbffr
