Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist

**Responsabilities**:

- Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country and international law and process
- Enforce plans and implement import/export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization.
- Manage the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
- Communicate with export and import and related authorities, and customers and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
- Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in import/export activity and procedures.
- Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations relating to import/export activities.
- Manage/liaise with stock control, warehousing and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon import/export activities.
- Manage and maintain effective and lawful insurance provisions relating to import/export activities.
- Maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant ICT (Information & Communications Technology) and other systems within the import/export function.
- Manage ITC Certifications CTPAT/AEO and VAT.
- Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.
- Management of the Annex 24 system.
- Management of the 30 Annex.
- Oversee multiple business units MRP systems inventory as it relates to inventory in Import and Export systems.
Report variance, and improve as required.
- Advise the upper management in every change that may affect the production or sales.
**Education & Certifications**:

- **Minimum**:Bachelor's degree
- **Preferred**:Master's degree

**Requirements**:

- High level of understanding of Import and Export laws, government reporting, supply chain security regulations, tariff codes and customs software.
- Create databases in Access or Excel desirable Proficiency in use of MS Office Software - advanced Power Point skills required.
- Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure
- Self-starter and ability to solve problems take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required (read, write and speak).
80%+
- Good understanding of country of origin regulations, HTS classification procedures and good database (PSI, Excel, Access, etc.)

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- This position requires a four-year degree in International Commerce or related field as minimum.
