Purpose of the Role:
Purpose of this role is to lead end-to-end Warehouse operation for Tequila global category (NSV +1bn USD FY, vol growth +25% CAGR 5Year). Fully accountable for Direction, Strategy development, Control, Performance Management of the end-to-end Warehouse function.

The incumbent will lead warehousing operations for Tequila category with + 5 warehousing locations, including Diageo’s owned facilities in Jalisco (Charcon & La Barca) and 3PL operation in Guadalajara.

The outcomes of this role are measured in: Cost Efficiency, Service to Customers, Appropriate storage of Raw Materials / Finished Goods and Collaborative value creating relationships internally and externally.

This role will work with a complex range of Tequila internal stakeholders (Planning, Manufacturing, Security Finance and HR), as well as the Global Operational Excellence and Logistics teams. In addition, work closely directly with markets (NAM&ROW) WH heads on improve and transform initiatives.

This role will lead a team of +20 FTEs across two sites, in addition to 3PL teams (+100 FTEs). Current annual spend managed by the Warehousing is ~10 million GBP.

Incumbent will need to interact across cultures & have strong influence/impact within businesses. She/he will also need to engage and partner with key Diageo Supply Partners (3PL’s, GDBS, etc.) as well as external suppliers

Key Accountabilities:
Warehousing that is fit-for-purpose to support market requirements and dynamics across Tequila. Onsite leadership for Tequila during key Tequila WH network extension to LaBarca, lead and influence internal and external (3PL, TPOs) stakeholders, drive cost and service, H&S and compliance agenda. Run 2 major sites Run overall warehousing operations for 2 Diageo owned major + 2 external warehouses in a remote. Oversee 3PL warehouse operations in Guadalajara

Collaborative and synchronized way of working with Plan, Transport, Source, Customer Service, Enterprise Operations and In-market Manufacturing to deliver goods to our customers and overall supply excellence Budgeting, forensic understanding of spend managing warehousing costs to be within budget and delivering operational savings year on year. Leading make/buy analysis to define best fit model for Tequila Warehousing operation Drive productivity agenda eliminating waste from the cost structure Lead the team across Tequila Warehouse to deliver cost and service goals and also influencing those non direct reports. Lead a collaborative and smooth operation of +50 3PL Blue Collars in Jalisco Mexico. Implement technology and tools to optimise future warehousing needs Effective lead of WH SPM/SRM agenda. Manage and lead strong relationships with Third Party Logistics Providers and develop the warehousing management strategy (including owned operations). Maintaining close partnership with the Scotland CS Team, guaranteeing best practices, standards, tools and controls are replicated Ensure Health & Safety, CARM/compliance standards are met in the Warehouses Lead reviews with local and global Supply stakeholders and drive/influence to implement best-in-class standards and improvements

Entry Level Requirements - Capabilities, Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain in a manufacturing/CG company
- Management of multiple warehousing operations ideally in different countries with minimum 5 years’ experience in Logistics
- Proven experience managing 3PL operations
- Experience leading and motivating numerous groups of individuals.
- Experience leading relationships with Unions (preferred)
- Demonstrable ability to engage and align stakeholders behind plans and win support for implementing change within the warehouse environment
- Engineering, Logistics and/or supply chain related background preferred
- Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority
- Proven experience leading and delivering Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction and Health & Safety programs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation
- Knowledge of WMS systems and experience of implementation preferred
