**Accounts Payable Sr Coordinator**

**Which is the main objective of this role?**

This role is responsible for leading the strategic agenda of Accounts Payables to support business transformation to achieve productivity and efficiency in the processes and seek the financial and accounting evolution of the company based on the organizational objectives giving a quality service to the SSC and BU's.

Coordinates activities related to processes such as Invoice Data Entry, Payments, Customer Service, Analytics and establish Business Continuos Improvement through value projects, as well as the administration and operation of different platforms. Ensure that the processes in charge are governed by a margin of control and are aligned with current policies and procedures.

**What will you be doing?**
- Ensure invoices are accompanied by all supporting documentation such as proper tax requirements, purchase orders, proof of receipt of goods/service, expense and payment approvals.
- Notify BU of invoices on “hold” and which have not been processed due to missing or incorrect supporting documentation. Follow-up with BU to release invoices for processing.
- Validate that invoices have been completely accounted for prior to running AP month-end close process in system
- Reconcile, identify, and resolve differences among AP module, detail in Aging module, and AP balance sheet accounts (applicable for countries with an AP module only).
- Validate the Three Way Match (purchase order, receipt of goods/services, invoice)
- Validate Two way match when a purchase order doesn’t exist (invoice must have adequate approvals)
- Ensure contracts exist as substantiation of certain recurring expenses
- Verify the accurate accounting of advances
- Preparation and presentation of information and reports for internal/external audit purposes in accordance with specific auditor requirements
- Review journal entries recorded for cash advances and monitor cash advance account.
- Ensure correct accounting of accruals for recurring and non-recurring expenses.
- Submit Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) on a monthly basis.
- Request and compile additional documentation/evidence in support of special circumstance invoices - including but not limited to - urgent payments, and invoices that are not backed by a purchase order.
- Validate update of and/or update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manuals whenever there is a change to AP processes.
- Foment and create continuous awareness among team that primary goal is to address internal and external client needs with a professional attitude.
- Interact with local BU team and other internal/external clients to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the execution of internal controls; controls testing, active participation in the periodic review of key controls; ensuring their operational effectiveness; maintenance of Test Script documentation; quarterly certification according to Compliance policies and procedures; and participation and contribution during the review and maintenance of the Risk Control Matrix. More specifically, internal controls related to the position and their objectives are:
