Classification: 01 Sub-class: Inside Sales/Reg SL

2. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION(S): Be specific.
DESCRIPTION % OF TIME
Meet with customers to develop/maintain relationships to meet the revenue, design and share goals. Special focus on support of engineering and design support at these accounts. This includes monitoring and supporting new/emerging accounts and segments both directly and indirectly. 5%
Coordinate relevant activity as required with key contacts at 3rd party IC vendors and Vishay product marketing with regards to positioning Vishay products in IC reference designs. 5%
Work closely with the distribution partners to coordinate design activity as required to win share, revenue, and new designs - this includes technical training and positioning of Vishay products within distributor design systems. 20%
Provide information to Vishay sales/marketing as it relates to the evolving market so that customer technical trends are clearly understood, and strategies adjusted as required. This includes data on the competitive landscape. 15%
Manage Vishay Reference Design Library; support requests from Vishay sales teams, Distribution partners, and customers for reference design bill-of-materials on a daily basis. 25%
Provide timely reports as requested by management - monthly narratives and metrics related to amount of technical sales collateral produced. 5%
Communication and alignment with Marketing, Business Development, Strategic Sales, Finance, Logistics, Quality and Legal to support the entire organization. 10%
Continuous training for Vishay products and processes so that the results that are achieved meet the company’s direction. Comprehension of Vishay technical benefits for focus products. 5%
Strong presentation skills required; this includes creating and presenting for both training and customer meetings. 5%

3. OTHER PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Interprets and predicts Electronics Market Segment trends using analytic techniques,
Projects market potential and estimates market penetration, Monitors research projects and prepares reports for management’s use regarding market conditions, market potential, sales forecasts, and information on competitors. 5%

4. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Number of years of study and specifically the type of training and experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
Experience: 3+ years of demonstrated experience in power and analog circuit design, test, sustaining engineering, or component engineering.
Basic Training: Induction

5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of power semiconductors and passive component technologies.
Excellent time management, organization, and ability to work without supervision. Dependable, trustworthy self-starter.
Strong verbal and written presentation skills; this includes creating and presenting for both training and customer meetings.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Public speaking experience desired.
Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel (PivotTables), PowerPoint, MS Access or Database equivalent software experience desired.
Travel (20%) visiting customers, sales personnel and distributors is required.
