**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
As a Senior Manager you will lead a Cloud Site Reliability Engineering team. You will possess demonstrated leadership and people management skills, strong communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of large distributed systems. You should be a distributed systems generalist, able to understand broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and lower-level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You will be responsible for providing direction and ownership for the team that you will establish and develop. You will also work with geographically distributed teams and contribute to the success of the overall organization.

**Qualifications**:
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience
1-4 years’ experience with people management and/or technical leadership
Experience building a team including recruiting, hiring, and performance management
Organizational and planning skills including scheduling
Working familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and BASH
Knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals
Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Desired Qualifications

Experience with JIRA
Experience with change control management and mature operating processes
Exposure to structured environments such as Terraform or Ansible

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
